Description:

779. CHARLES A. LINDBERGH T.L.S., 1p., 4to., Darien, Ct., April 13, 1968, to Father Edward B. Rooney. A lengthy letter mentioning Dr. Alexis Carrel with whom he worked on construction of the perfusion pump, used to keep organs alive outside the body. Lindbergh dismisses an article about him as "...I doubt that you will find the Ross book worth reading. I have not seen it myself, but I did read a magazine article Mr. Ross wrote about me several years ago. The article was a mixture of fiction and rumor along with some fact. I thought it trivial and rather silly, although most of my friends liked it!...". He also expresses concern for bloodshed in Africa. Fine. $700 - 900
