Scarce A.L.S. "Nate" on Venice hotel letterhead, 2pp. 4to., Sep. 4, 1963 to celebrated New York Post writer Leonard Lyons who penned the widely-read column "The Lyons Den". Leopold, just released from probation and seeking to avoid the press, mentions dining with James Michener in Haifa (where Michener was researching Exodus), sets forth travel plans, and discusses a $3 million judgment against the Saturday Evening Post in the Butts football case, expressing his hopes that his own case might be settled for a substantial sum as well.
