KURT CLAASSEN
(1908 - ?) German SS officer on the staff of SS and Police Leader Odilo Globocnik. Claasen headed the office in Mogilev, and likely controlled the offices in Bialystok and Minsk. His duties included organizing the evacuation of ghettos and arranging transport to extermination camps. Presumed killed at war's end. Rare T.L.S., 1p. large 4to., Munster, Dec. 22, 1936 to Heinrich Himmler extending Christmas and New Year's greetings. File holes at left, else very good.
