STEPHANUS JOHANNES PAULUS KRUGER (1825-1904) a.k.a. "Paul Kruger", South African Statesman, for whom the Krugerrand coin was named, founder of the Transavaal State which became independent in 1852. A leader of Boer Rebellion of 1880. President of Transavaal (1883-1900). Partly-printed D.S., dated December 13, 1895 as president, appointing Charles Cullingworth a "klerk" position in the Postmaster General's office, slightly larger then 12" x 16", horizontal folds, light foxing, minor chips to right edge, otherwise good. $100-150
