(1911 - 1960) Swedish opera star, a tenor renowned for his vocal technique, one of the greatest of his century. Boldly signed Philadelphia Forum handbill, "J Bjorling", 4pp., 8vo., Philadelphia, March 7, 1957, accompanying a Bjoerling performance with the Academy of Music. The bill lists Bjoerling as "Leading Tenor, Metropolitan Opera Association" and notes Frederick Schauwecker at the piano. The pair performed 14 songs in seven acts. Fine.
