JULIUS ROBERT OPPENHEIMER(1904 - 1967) American physicist, director of the Manhattan project which developed the first atomic bomb, later served as director of the Institute of Advanced Study at Princeton. Rare S.P. 8" x 10", color print of a head-up portrait on thick stock by Ernest Hamlin Baker. Signed "J. R. Oppenheimer" in the blank portion below his portrait. Oppenheimer signed images are extremely difficult to source and this is a superb example. Very minor marginal wear, else very good.
