Johnston Interesting signed printed pamphlet titled The Burnside Bill , I Ipp. (disbound), ca. 1878 The pamphlet concerns reaction to the proposed Burnside Bill (likely named after Ambrose Burnside) which would merge the Quartermaster and Commissary departments. Negative comments of Philip Sheridan, William T. Sherman George McClellan, George G. Meade, and others are quoted, including Lee's Adjutant General Walter H. Taylor.
