Draft A.L.S., 1p. 4to., Fort Ewell, Tx., July 2, 1853, sending quarterly returns of the Subsistence Department: "...It is very inconvenient for me to receipt for provisions over which I have no control and never see. I have not as yet taken up the provisions when receipts were sent..." Very good. $150-200
