815. ROBERT M.T. HUNTER (1809-1887) Confederate Secretary of State who succeeded Toombs; arrested by the Federals at war's end. Bold signature on a green album page: "R. M. T. Hunter Virginia". With the signature of M. MORRIS on the same sheet but well-clear of Hunter's. With a signature by Naval hero RICHMOND PEARSON HOBSON on a small slip, as well as that of JOHN SPENCER, Secretary of War under Tyler, taken from a document dated March 1839. Very good condition. $75-100
