In part: "...We cheerfully unite with the Trade in recommending to you Mr. James L. Dorsey for appointment to the position of Inspector General of Flour. The long experience of Mr. Dorsey with the reputation he has acquired for sound judgment, impartiality and the uniform satisfaction, he has given to the trade during eight years as an Inspector...we think give such a guarantee to the stability of Inspection as would largely increase the interest already established in the important article of Flour...".
