Description:

JOHN WAYNE GACY
(1942 - 1994) Notorious mass murderer of over thirty young men whom he buried beneath his home, executed after many appeals and postponements. A chilling group of four pieces of original artwork by Gacy, head and shoulders portraits of women, people of various ethnicities, and characters such as pirates, each executed on an individual 12" x 17 1/2" sheet. The art comprises several portraits per page, executed in a somewhat childish style but clearly having taken Gacy some pains to produce. Each sheet is signed in blue ink at bottom right. The lot is accompanied by a COA from the original owner, who obtained the pieces during his correspondence with Gacy between 1985-1994. Along with a photocopy of a letter from 1985 by Gacy to the owner, which mentions the pieces, noting that he agrees upon "...$150.00 in two payments...", adding "...since I noticed the pencils drawings are not signed, for you I'll sign each page in ink...". Light wear to edges, otherwise in very good condition. Four pieces.
