JOHN SEVIER
An early Tennesee war-date A.D.S. "John Sevier" with a second full signature in text, as clerk of the court of pleas and quarter sessions for Washington County, NC, 1p. obong 8vo., North Carolina, February, 1778. Sevier pens an order to the Sheriff of Washington County "... to take the body of Emmanuel Carter if he to be found in your Bailiwick and him safely keep so that you have his body before the Justices of Our Court…and there to answer...the plea of trespass...Damage of him the said five hundred Pounds…", an exorbitant sum at the time. North Carolina would eventually cede its western territories which later became Tennessee. Three vertical folds which are a bit toned, one passing through signature at bottom, else fine.

International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
