(1724 - 1777) Signer of the Declaration of Independence, a representative to the Stamp Act Congress and a delegate to the Continental Congress. D.S. 1p. 12mo., a Pennsylvania eighteen pence note printed by Hall & Sellers, 1772, signed by Morton, with JOHN SELLERS and CHARLES HUMPHREYS also signing. Note is well-worn and creased, yet the signatures remain dark and quite distinct.
