Description:

(1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the United States. Kennedy faced-down the Kruschev during the Cuban Missile Crisis, re-invigorated NASA, and signed the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. Assassinated November 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. One of the stranger Kenndy-signed items we've seen, one-half of a child's plaster arm cast signed in blue ballpoint by Kennedy while running for Massachusetts Senator. The cast, contained within a shadowbox, is accompanied by a copy photo of Kennedy signing a young man's cast. Also present is a letter signed by both the recipient and his mother in 1999 explaining that Kennedy had signed the cast on Oct. 17, 1958 while campaigning in Whitman, Ma. and a news photographer had documented the event as well. The son also attests that it was his cast which the future president had signed. Signature is a bit light and abnormal, as one would expect, otherwise very good.
