JAMES F. FAGAN
(1828 - 1893) Confederate major general at Shiloh and Prairie Grove, later was with Sterling Price in his last Missouri raid. Partly-printed D.S. 2pp. legal folio, Western District of Arkansas, Apr. 24, 1876, as U. S. Marshal regarding the arrest and transport of two gentleman, in part: "...defendants during our delay at Muskegee, that on the said 24th of March the Deputy received warrants for the arrest of James Langley charged with Larceny and E. M. Herford, charged with violation of Internal Revenue Laws...". Fagan signs and certifies that he has inquired into the case. Very good.
