Description:
Jack Davis American cartoon artist whose early work appeared in the controversial comic "Tales From the Crypt", later a founder and regular contributor to "Mad' magazine. Superb, original pencil drawing on beige paper, 12in x 18in, showing a grave robber in black trench coat, standing full length in a cemetery with a shovel in his hand and looking over his shoulder. This is most likely a sketch done as a study for an illustration for "Tales From the Crypt". One horizontal fold, otherwise fine. A rare cartoon item!
