Description:

INTERROGATION REPORT OF A PRO-NAZI BELGIAN SPY
A great content, war date typed document, 4pp. 4to. Weert, November 2, 1944, labeled 'Secret' at the top, titled 'Interview with Simone Desirent (Belgian) at Weert Holland, 2 November 1944' with interesting insights about Nazi spy activity. In part: '...Desirent stated that she volunteered for Belgian Red Cross...and then was sent to a civilian hospital in Weis-Baden...after this all the nurses in training were compelled to work for the SS in Ilverson...she became acquainted with a man pretended to be Sturmman Kayae, a Dutch National...Kayae made connection with the Military Secret Police. On account of her friendship with Kayae, Desirent was admitted to the organization...German Military Secret Service is organized as follows: It is headed by a Chief named Scortini…It was Scortini who arranged and carried out Mussolini's escape in Italy...All the agents above are specially instructed in the customs, people, manners, habits, etc. of the people of the section to which they are assigned...Desirent was chosen to operate in the WEST, i.e. Belgium, Holland, and Northern France...Kayae confided to Desirent that his right name is von Schliffen, nephew of Field Marshall von Schliffen...the name Kayae was taken from the identity of a dead Dutch soldier...' and much more. 'Scortini' is obviously a mistake referring to SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Otto Skorzeny (1908-1975). A few scattered stains, overall good condition.
