(1882 - 1971) One of the greatest composers of the last century, Stravinsky wrote such masterpieces as L'Oiseau de feu, Petrouchka and Le sacre de printemps, as well as numerous concertos and piano pieces. A.L.S. 1p. 12mo., Barcelona, Mar. 17, 1928, penned on a postcard in French to Dutch musicologist Salomon Bottenheim, in part: "...Will you please let me have an answer with regard to the singers. I must know as soon as possible...". File holes at top, otherwise boldly written and very good. Handsomely framed with a youthful portrait and dark blue matting.
