HUBERT "HUB" ZEMKE
(1914-1994) Celebrated American fighter pilot, commanded the 56th Fighter Group in England. As commanding officer of the 56th, Zemke was credited with 17 aerial victories and 11 ground victories. A group of eight signed items, includes four A.L.S.'s sending greetings and autographs, two signed magazine image, a signature cut from a letter, and an A.N.S. Along with an I.S.P. by FRANCIS "GABBY" GABRESKI, 8" x 10" color, showing the ace smiling within the cockpit of his bomber decorated with numerous swastika-adorned stickers indicating his "kill", signed at top left: "From Col. F. Gabreski to Harry C. Block taken at...AFB England, June 1944 Leading Ace European Theatre", and adding date June 20, 1977. With assorted newspaper clippings and magazine articles about Zemke, overall very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
