EDWIN VON WITZLEBEN
(1881 - 1944) German general whose forces broke the Maginot Line forcing the surrender of three French division. Involved in the July 20 plot on Hitler's life, he arrived at OKH headquarters to assume command of the coup forces and was immediately arrested. His execution was filmed for Hitler's enjoyment. Scarce S.P. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" b/w, a Hoffman photo showing the general in a chest, up pose in uniform. Signed across bottom in a slightly darker portion of image, very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
