Description:

HERMANN GORING
(1893 - 1946) German politician who began his career as an ace in World War I, rose to become Hitler's right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe, finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. Fine S.P. 4" x 6" b/w, showing Goring with his wife, actress Emmy Sonnermann, and their daughter Edda. Boldly signed by Goring and Emmy, with a small signature in pencil in another hand under Goring: "Rosemarie Hansen". Along with a rare original Hoffmann photograph 7" x 5", showing the Gorings standing between Hitler and an unidentified gentleman, possibly Duke Ernst of Coburg) on the occasion of their lavish wedding celebration. Hitler was, of course, unmarried and considered Emmy Goring "First Lady of the Reich". She was later suspected of smuggling the poison Goring used to commit suicide. Two pieces, very good condition.
