Henry Clay Excellent content Als 1 p. 4to Ashland, May 14 1829 to John H. On Saturday next there is to be a great dinner when I am assured there will be many Jacksonians present In the election of 1824 Clay countered the state legislature and voted for Adams carrying his election against Jackson Jackson and his supporters were furious, and Clay was dogged by his deed in every subsequent election Here contemplating his presidential run in 1831, Clay clearly intended to wood votes from his adversary. Very good
