HELLMUTH PFEIFER
(1894 - 1945) German general who defended Anzio following the Allies' landings, the Arno Line west of Florence, and finally the city of Bologna. Pfeifer was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. Killed in action on the bridge at Finiale, Italy. War-date partly-printed D.S., 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], July 9, 1944 giving an award of the Iron Cross, 2nd Class to a soldier in his command. Signed with indelible blue pencil at bottom. Folds, some offsetting, else very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
