HELEN KELLER
(1880 - 1968) American author who overcame her lack of sight, speech and hearing to write inspirational accounts of her life. A superb I.S.P., 8" x 10" b/w/ photograph of Keller examining a bas-relief sculpture. Signed and inscribed in the lower portion of the image in pencil: "With affectionate greeting to Richard P. Wunder whose bright letter has made us friends Helen Keller January 4, 1939.". The recipient, Richard P. Wunder (1923-2002), was only a teenager at the time, but would become a noted curator and art historian who served as curator at the Cooper Union, Cooper Hewitt and the Smithsonian. Very fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
