HEINRICH HIMMLER
(1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremburg. Rare A.L.S. signed with an asterisk "*" in pencil to his mistress Maria Podhorzer, written on the verso of a postcard showing Himmler in uniform greeting two young children in Krakow, Poland, Jan. 28, 1940, 6" x 4" b/w, in German. In full: "I am very well. The trip was very interesting. I was very happy with both letters. All dear and good things to you.". Light crease to photo, else very good.
