Description:

HEINRICH HIMMLER
(1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremburg. Frightening D.S. demonstrating the process used by the Nazis to determine racial purity and nationality, 2pp. 4to., "Field Command Post", Jan. 31, 1944, a decision of the: "Supreme Investigative Court for Questions of Nationality in the Incorporated Eastern Territories Attached to the Reich Commissar for the Securing of German Ethnicity. The nine members of the Court are listed, including Himmler, ERNST KALTENBRUNNER (1903-1946) Chief of the S.D. who replaced Heydrich and a rabid anti-Semite who greatly increased efforts round-up Jews in Poland, and WILHELM STUCKART (1902-1953) Under-Secretary of the Interior who drafted the Nuremberg Laws and participated in the Wansee Conference, who both also sign this document, as well as other high-ranking military men including Dr. Leonardo Conti and Friedrich Hildebrandt. The court denies German nationality to Wanda Irma Anflick and her family, reversing an earlier decision allowing them inscription on the "German People's List". It notes: "[Her] ancestors have primarily Polish names and in part come from the province of Posen. [Her father]Anflick participated in World War I on the German side and was decorated...In 1922...he joined the Polish Army and served as a professional soldier until 1932. His only daughter was given a solely Polish education...Contradictory testimony exists concerning his attitude in the German-Polish ethnicity struggle...In view of the preponderance of Polish ancestors...blood-wise the Anflick family can't be counted among the racially Germanic elements...His ambiguous behavior...indicates considerable absorption into Polish ethnicity...". Paperclip stain at top, else very good with fine, bold signatures.
