HARRY TRUMAN
(1884-1972) 33rd President of the United States who led the country in the closing days of World War II and through the re-building of Europe under the Marshall Plan and the Korean War. Scarce T.L.S. "Harry" as Senator, 1p. 4to. on Senate Committee on Interstate Commerce letterhead, Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 3, 1940 to Percy B. Sovey of Portland Oregon enclosing a copy (attached to this letter) of a letter he had sent to the director of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation recommending Sovey for a position. At the closing he adds an additional note: "Keep on praying" Light horizontal folds, staple holding the copy, else very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
