420. GETTYSBURG BATTLEFIELD RELIC COLLECTION A great grouping of relics all recovered from the battlefield at Gettysburg, specifically about 70 dropped minie balls and musket balls, about a dozen buckles and clasps, a complete bullet, three spoons, two forks, a trigger guard, two bands which secured gun stocks, a barrel borer, etc, about one hundred pieces in all. Originally obtained from the Geiselman Collection which was commenced in the 1920's by noted collector John Geiselman who took great pains to document his finds. Obtained from highly-respected Gettysburg relic dealers, The Horse Soldier, who had purchased the collection from Gieselman's estate. The 2nd Corps was heavily engaged on July 2nd in the vicinity of Round Top and Cemetery Hill. Gettysburg relics are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. $800-1,200
