Fine lot of seven items signed by various German naval leaders of World War I. Includes: ERHARD SCHMIDT (Admiral of the Imperial German Navy, commander of the IV Squadron at the Battle of Jutland and commander of Operation Albion, a special task force for the occupation of the Baltic Sea islands in 1917, awarded the Pour le Mérite), FRIEDRICH BOEDICKER (A.Q.S.; Vice Admiral of the Imperial German Navy, present at the Battle of Jutland where ships of his Second Scouting Group fired some of the first shots of the action), LUDWIG VON REUTER (Admiral of the Imperial German Navy who commanded the High Sea's Fleet when it was interned at Scapa Flow at the end of World War I), ANDREAS MICHELSEN (Vice Admiral who assumed strategic command of all German submarines operations in June 1917, awarded the Pour le Mérite), HUGO MEURER (Vice Admiral of the Imperial German Navy, present at the Battle of Jutland. In November 1918 Meurer negotiated as representative of Admiral Franz von Hipper with Admiral David Beatty the details of the surrender of the German Fleet), PAUL BEHNCKE (Admiral with the Imperial German Navy, commander of the Third Battle Squadron of the German High Sea's Fleet at the Battle of Jutland) and MAX LOOFF (Vice Admiral with the Imperial German Navy, commander of SMS Konigsbergduring the Battle of Rufiji Delta before being sunk by the Royal Navy in July 1915). Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made.
