FREDERICK WILLIAM IV
(1895-1861) King of Prussia from 1840 to 1861. Manuscript L.S. "Frederick Guillaume R" as King, 1p. legal folio, Berlin, Apr. 24, 1846, on black-bordered mourning letterhead. He writes in French to King of Two Sicilies, Ferdinand II, sadly informing him of the death of: "...the Princess Marie Anne Amelie, nee Princess of Hesse-Hombourg, wife of my dear uncle, His Royal Highness, Prince William of Prussia...". With original envelope bearing remnants of black-wax seal, very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
