811. HENRY FORD (1863-1947) American automobile manufacturer and founder of the Ford Motor Company, his use of the assembly line revolutionized the industry. D.S., 14pp., folio, Michigan, 1910-1911, a legal document concerning a dispute between David P. Lapham and Detroit-Dearborn Motor Car Company regarding land. Lapham established the first bank in Dearborn in 1896 and sold it to Henry Ford in 1916. In very small part: "...one David P. Latham, of said village Dearborn, Wayne County, Michigan, and State of Michigan, made and entered into a certain contract with the Detroit-Dearborn Car Company...for the erection of a certain new building upon the land heretofore described, which building was to be used for and by the said Detroit=-Dearborn Motor Car Company as a factory building...". Much more. Signed on p. 8 "Henry Ford". Ford's signature is a slight variant from the examples usually found but corresponds to examples obtained from the Henry Ford Museum. Very good. $1,500 - 2,000
