A nice lot of four items by European royalty, includes: VITTORIO EMANUELE II, partly-printed D.S. 1p. folio, Turin, Jan. 7, 1891, an appointment of Carlo Lavaza as Secretary General of Gabelle. Fold tears repaired with tape, tape remnants to edges, good. Along with VITTORIO EMANUELE III, partly-printed D.S. 1p. folio, Turin, Nov. 13, 1933, an appointment, countersigned by BENITO MUSSOLINI. Pinholes at left margin from disbinding, else very good; FRIEDRICH WILHELM GRUMBKOW(1678-1739), prime minister of Prussia, manuscript D.S. 1p. 4to., June 18, 1736, untranslated, very good condition, and HAAKON VII (1872-1957), King of Norway, one of a few elected monarchs. Partly-printed D.S. 1p. legal folio, Oslo, Nov. 1, 1945, apparently an appointment. Light staining, overall very good. Four pieces.
