ELIPHALET REMINGTON, JR. (1828 - 1924) American gun manufacturer, a co-owner with brothers Philo and Samuel of E. Remington & Sons gun-makers. Eliphalet was responsible for the construction of the plant at Ilion, New York and the purchase of equipment and contracts from Ames. Partly-printed D.S., [Ilion], Dec. 1, 1862, a receipt for gas signed "E. Remington & Sons", sold with a second receipt in Remington's hand, unsigned. Two pieces, very good.
