DOCUMENT FROM THE REIGN OF WILLIAM IV
(1765 - 1837) King of England who resisted a halt to the slave trade, and was the last king to attempt to force a Prime Minister on Parliament. Attractive, manuscript D.S. on vellum, 1p. 25" x 21", Norfolk, Apr. 1, 1833, an indenture between Anna Hammond and Richard Hammond for a one year lease on a parcel of land in Norfolk County. With a blue royal tax stamp affixed above a circular date stamp in the left margin. Signatures with red wax seals in the lower portion. Usual folds, very good.
