CONFEDERATE GENERALS (3)
Good lot of three items signed by Confederate generals, includes: THOMAS GREEN (1814-1864), American soldier who took part in the Texan Revolution and became a Confederate brigadier general commanding cavalry, killed in action during the Red River Campaign while charging Union gunboats. Scarce A.E.S. ‘T. Green' on a 3.5 x 4.25 in. slip of paper cut from a document bearing the embossed seal of the District Court of Rusk County, Texas, adding the date ‘Filed Apl 17, 1854' and ‘Clk [clerk]' Shows mounting remnants to the verso, else very good. Close-cut signature in black ink on a 3 x 0.75 in. slip of paper, adding his rank ‘Col. Comdg Brigade'. Toned overall, mounted to a slightly larger card, else very good. WITH: WADDY THOMPSON, JR.
