on a 3 x 2 in. card, adding his rank ‘Late Brig Genl CSA'. Shows mounting remnants on the verso, else in fine condition. WITH: JAMES H. TRAPIER (1815-1865) Confederate brigadier general under Braxton Bragg but shuffled off to inferior posts for poor performance. War-date signed endorsement ‘J. H. Trapier' in black ink on a 3.5 x 2.25 in. slip of paper cut from a larger document, Georgetown, SC, Sep. 29, 1863. Shows archival tape residue to the verso, else very good. Three pieces.
