(Confederate Flag Remnant) A fine Civil War souvenir, two pieces of the Confederate flag, the Stars and Bars , each about two inches square, taken from a flag captured by a Union officer. The officer, Capt. John B. Conley, served with the 16th Maine Reg. and sent his captured flag home to his family. The remnants are very attractively matted with a reproduced photo of a similar flag flying above Fort Sumter and explanatory text. Framed in wood, a handsome piece.
