War date A.L.S."Richard Platt" 1p. 4to., Peekskill, Feb. 1, 1779, to Burr, in part: "...Capt. Turner brings a detachment to relieve the whole of Patterson's....his men have not flints sufficient. There is no better method than to take those of the returning party...". With a manuscript D.S. "Math Allyn Assist", 1p. oblong 8vo, Windsor, [Conn.], Nov. 9, 1723, a summons to appear in probate court; manuscript D.S. "Caleb Stanley Clerk" 1p. legal folio, New Haven, Oct. 3, 1710, a true copy of a document concerning a suit brought by Nathaniel Hooker (1671-1711) in 1708; CLEMENT PLUMSTEAD (1660 - 1745) Mayor of Philadelphia, 1723, 1736 and 1741, manuscript, D.S. as Mayor, 1p. oblong folio on vellum, Philadelphia, Sept. 6, 1723, a deed for land on Brandywine Creek; JOHN ADLUM (1759 - 1836) pioneering American viticulturalist and surveyor. A.D.S. 1p. legal folio, Philadelphia, Feb. 24, 1789 concerning a survey of "...Lands on Towanda Creek..." and commenting on the richness of the soil in the region, types of trees present and overall acreage; manuscript D.S. 1p. legal folio, [Mass.] Apr. 8, 1805 concerning a land transaction; HEZEKIAH WYLLYS signature removed from a document; (CHARLES CARROLL) D.S. 1p. 24mo., [n.p.] June 1781 noting the receipt of £4 for "1/2 year's assessm[en]t". Eight pieces in very good condition overall.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
