Description:

(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.L.S., 2pp. 4to., Vacaville, CA, Sept. 15, 1976, an angry response to a previous letter, reading in part: "You are a dummy...First I can't read what you wrote. 2, what you think I done was programed to you by $ news selling fear & violence...I've been in your prisons 30 years - you follow nothing & stop running after me with what the DA & press feed your dum brain...your letter got me 1/2 mad - Don't write me no more unless you can git yourself fixed first..." Manson signs "C. Manson" twice: once on the first page with typical swastika, the second on the reverse page. Sold with transmittal envelope, in which an unknown individual, yet certainly not Manson, has added Manson's name in the return address with a blue pen; Manson himself adds a swastika in pencil over the "O" in his last name. Folds, else very good. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
