CHARLES A. LINDBERGH
(1902 - 1974) American aviator who, in his "Spirit of St. Louis", was the first to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean. His book, We, (New York: G. P. Putnam, 1927) 318pp., 8vo., first edition, second impression. Bound in blue cloth titled boards, lacking dust jacket. Signed and inscribed "To Greta Friedler with best wishes, Charles A. Lindbergh" on the title page. Greta and her husband Heinz Friedler worked in an undetermined capacity (most likely domestic help) for Juan Trippe, the founder of Pan American Airways and a close business partner of Lindbergh. Offered with several letters and cards from the Friedler family. Binding worn and loose, light toning to pages, else very good condition., else very good condition.
