BRITISH ARMY SLOUCH HATS
Good lot of three post-World War II British Army "slouch" hats. Includes: Khaki felt slouch hat, bearing a gold bullion and velvet General''s hat badge at front, with a khaki "puggari"-style band and two vents on each side of the crown. The left side bears a brass clip allowing the brim to be folded up. The interior is fitted with a brown leather sweat band marked "Royal Stetson" and with the marks of the John B. Stetson company, and also "Gibbs Clothing Co. Boaz, Ala." Very good. WITH: Khaki felt slouch hat, with the left side of the brim folded up and secured by a brass clip, and with the cap badge insignia of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces affixed to the upturned brim. The crown is encircled by a khaki "puggari"-style band and pierced by two vents on each side of the crown. The interior is fitted with a brown leather sweat band, marked "Made By Fayrefield Melbourne 57 975". Slight soiling, markings a bit work, else very good. WITH: Slouch-style Gurkha dress hat, constructed of khaki felt and bearing the cap badge of the 8 Gorkha Rifles regiment on the right-hand side. The crown is encircled by a khaki "puggari"-style band and pierced by two multi-hole vents on each side of the crown. The interior is fitted with a light brown leather sweat band, and bears a paper label identifying the manufacturer as Vero & Everitt Ltd., size 7, and with additional labels identifying the place of manufacture as England and the material as 100% cotton. Fine. Also present is a post-war black wool pillbox-style cap, as worn by Gurkha regiments, with a black band and an embroidered black knot design at the crown. The interior is stamped with an indistinct maker''s mark, with two War Department "broad arrows" and the size 6. Fine. Four pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made.
