Good lot of four Third Reich award documents, all presented to Emil Bennert of the "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" ("German Red Cross"), or DRK. Includes: Partly-printed D.S., 1p. oblong 8vo., Berlin, April 20, 1938, granting Bennert the "Auszeichnungsborte" (an award ribbon) for 25 years of unblemished service. The certificate bears the printed facsimile signature of Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the president of the DRK, with another official countersigning in black ink. Shows one or two spots of foxing, else very good. WITH: Partly-printed document, 1p. folio, Berlin, Sep. 5, 1938, an award certificate granting Bennert the German Red Cross Medal, with the approval of Adolf Hitler. The document again bears the printed facsimile signature of Charles Edward at the conclusion. Shows a horizontal fold and damp stains to the bottom edge, else very good. WITH: Partly-printed document, 1p. folio, Berlin, March 12, 1942, an award certificate granting Bennert the Medal for German Social Welfare. The certificate bears the printed facsimile signatures of Adolf Hitler and head of the Office of the President of Germany Otto Meissner at the conclusion, with a blind-embossed national eagle seal at bottom left. Shows paper clip marks at two corners and two spots of soiling, else very good. WITH: Partly-printed document, 1p . folio, Berlin, Sep. 1, 1943, an award certificate granting Bennert the War Merit Cross, Second Class. The certificate again bears the printed facsimile signatures of Adolf Hitler and Otto Meissner at the conclusion, with a blind-embossed national eagle seal at bottom left. Very good. Four pieces.
