War -date A.D.S. 1p. oblong 4to., Windham, Ct., Sep. 21, 1775, a document completely in Pitkin's hand , requesting that the State treasurer pay the court costs on a man accused of stealing horses, very good. E100-150 545. EDMUND J. RANDOLPH (1753 - 1813) Aideto George Washington, leader of the Virginia delegation to the Constitutional Convention, Washington's Attorney General and later served as Secretary of State. D.S. as Governor of Virginia on vellum 1p. folio, Richmond, April, 23, 1788 granting one thousand acres to John Swan "...in the County of Harrison...". With large signature at bottom. First name in signature a bit faded but still legible, light soiling and usual folds, otherwise very good. Offered with Moncure Daniel Conway's 1888 biography of Randolph.
