Only a week after the cataclysmic clash ofarmies at Gettysburg, Briggs writes, in part: "...Gen. Hill[?] with the 34th & 38th arrived from Washington last night. If many more troops should come, some of us will go to the front. Spinola's Brig. went in yesterday..." Fine condition.
