[ Autographs ] DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER AND DOUGLAS MACARTHUR A fine and important association of two major military leaders of World War II! We offer an official U.S. Government Printing Office printing titled Surrender of Italy Germany and Japan 79th Congress, 1st Session, Senate Doc. No. 93, presented by Sen. Alben Barkley before the Senate for entry into the Record on Oct. 4, 1945. Within the 100-page printing is the complete text of the instruments of surrender and addresses by the Supreme Commanders and President Truman. On page 42, DWIGHT EISENHOWER has boldly added his signature at the top of a printed copy of the text of the Instrument of Surrender signed by German representatives at Rheims, May 7, 1945. On page 94 DOUGLAS MACARTHUR has penned his signature at the conclusion of the text of his statement given onboard the USS MISSOURI preceding the signing of the Japanese surrender documents on September 2, 1945. The contents ofthe book are in near fine condition, a newspaper photo pasted to the inside front cover has slightly offset to the title page with a note of provenance on the verso, cover bears two very light small stains inblank area, spine bears a bit of reinforcing tape, generally very goodcondition and a superb association.
