Description:

ALEXANDER III (1845 - 1894) Emperor of Russia who as prince showed open disapproval of his father, Alexander II's policies. On gaining the throne, he dismantled his father's reforms, persecuted the Jews and advanced into Central Asia. Partly-printed, late D.S. as Czar, 2pp. legal folio, Nov. 28, 1893, bearing an ornate printed headline reading "Imperial Decree of Saint Anna, 2nd Class", boldly signed at conclusion. Two separate pages, handsomely matted and framed. Fine condition, not examined out of frame.
