(1894-1963) English novelist and critic most remembered for his prophetic tale of the future Brave New World. Typed Ms.S., 1p. 4to., [n.d., but according to accompanying correspondence, acquired by the Lincoln Library in Sept. 1962], a carbon typescript of the "Fifth Philosopher's Song", probably his best known poem. In part: "A million million spermatozoa, all of them alive. Out of their cataclysm but one poor Noah Dare hopes to survive. And among that billion minus one Might have chance to be Shakespeare, another Newton, a new Donne - But the one was me...". Boldly inscribed and signed in black ink, fine condition.
