ALBERT EINSTEIN AND ROBERT OPPENHEIMER An octavo, green leather-bound date booklet, headed "Birthdays" for the year 1953, containing the very rare and possibly unique signature combination of two of the greatest names in physics on one item. Signed "A. Einstein 53" on his birthdate page, March 14. Einstein's horoscope states: "...You are energetic and a clear thinker. You should achieve great success in anything you undertake...". Also signed "Robert Oppenheimer" on the April 22 page, being his birthdate. Oppenheimer's horoscope states: "...You have a clear and alert mind and keen foresight...". This book was apparently kept by a Scandinavian girl attending Princeton, perhaps as an exchange student. Many of the people who have signed on their birthday pages are also Scandinavian, though there are a number of American names, some signed by children, and perhaps by other scientists. A friend of the girl worked at the Institute for Advanced Studies and brought this book in to obtain these two great signatures. Average wear to the cover, otherwise very good.
