Levin Powell a Revolutionary War hero and close friend of George Washington As a matter of fact Washington rode ten miles on his old charger to vote for Levin in his successful election to Congress The lock was obtained directly from the Custis Powell family and is attractively double matted against an image of Washington Below is a signed provenance from Charles Hamilton
