1875 MAP OF NEW MEXICO
A rare military map dated 1875 showing the District of New Mexico, printed and prepared by acting engineer, Lt. Charles C. Morrison, 6th US Cavalry. Measures 27" x 22" and bears finely detailed depictions of the various mountain ranges of New Mexico including all military posts present, the Maxwell land grant survey, scouts in New Mexico since 1872 and the routes of Macomb and Simpson in 1857 and 1849 respectively. Copy credit is given to engineer Sgt. G. A. Litchenberg and is made official by Lt. William J. Volkmar, 5th US Cavalry at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Aug. 1875. Negligible mouse nibbles at folds, else very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
